"A Life's Worth," at 8:55 p.m. on Arte. Their names are Strand, Forss, Badic, and Kilipinen. These four young soldiers are Swedish volunteers who enlisted in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1993. Thrust into the conflict in the former Yugoslavia, they and their battalion of peacekeepers are tasked with providing assistance to civilians. In particular, they must secure the delivery of humanitarian aid to these populations.

From the very first sequence, the viewer discovers that they are victims of a hostage situation. The action then flashes back six months to their first steps in this hostile territory. There, full of ideals, the four young heroes confront the horrors of war. Faced with recalcitrant local forces and at the heart of aggression between Bosnians and Croats, they are ordered not to intervene in the conflict. But this ambient violence and the discovery of real massacres will hit them hard in the heart of their flesh and their humanity. With their essential support, their superior, Colonel Andreasson, where the Swedish authorities are completely disconnected from the reality on the ground.
